ABOUT THE PATRIOTS

Coach Greg Phillips’ Patriots were the 7-A Georgia state runners-up last season and are led by a strong senior class. Standing at 6-10, Malique Ewin, who has signed with Ole Miss, leads the way for the Pats. He averaged 15.4 points and an astounding 11.7 rebounds a game as a junior. James Rideout, a 6-2 senior playmaker who is being recruited by Mercer, North Georgia, and NC AT&T, averaged nearly 13 points, four assists, and four rebounds a game last year. Georgia and Tennessee Tech are giving 6-4 senior guard Jermahri Hill serious looks after watching him notch 12.2 points and nearly five boards a game as a junior.
